Charlie Puth is stepping into a new role that connects music creation with emerging technology. The singer and songwriter has been named chief music officer at Moises, an artificial intelligence platform designed to help musicians work with audio.
The announcement came as the company introduced Puth as a creative partner who will help guide new tools for artists using the platform. Moises is widely used by musicians to separate vocals and instruments from recordings, detect chords, and experiment with arrangements while practicing or producing music.
Puth said he has relied on the software for years during his own creative process. In the new position, he will work closely with the company’s development team to refine features and make sure the technology reflects how musicians actually write, practice, and produce songs.
The partnership also launches a global remix contest connected to Puth’s track Beat Yourself Up. Artists can use the platform’s tools to create remixes or covers of the song.
Winners will receive cash prizes and a chance to meet Puth at a future show in New York City.
